"So he stretched forth his staff over the land...and when it was morning
the wind had brought the Locusts."
This design is, to date, the longest running project I've ever done, roughly four years
or so, during which time I also had a full-time job. And it wasn't the difficulties inherent
with designing a car that followed a completely different paradigm that made it take so long.
At the time I hadn't asked, and no one had bothered to tell me that something like this can't
be done in AutoCAD. Well, here's the proof that it can be done. And it was well worth
the effort too. Besides being what I feel is a truly original design, it's also an award winner,
right out of the box. It won the North Bay Multimedia Association's 2001 "Best of the North Bay"
award for professional 3D digital art. At that time there was only a closed-cockpit variant,
later came the open-cockpit variant, and with that the design was finally fully completed. Now it
is my pleasure to present the definitive Locust. Navigation bar below will take you to
the gallery.
