Attack the road with a Vengeance
This design, for all its complexity, only took about
two months to complete, all the while still working at my regular job. I was under pressure
to complete it for the 2004 "Motor Trend Design Contest", the deadline and requirements for
which were quite demanding. The theme was "Brand It Your Way". The criteria was to design a
car that would be produced by an existing company that is not currently a car maker. I went
with Verizon Vengeance, but even with all the cool communications gear I incorporated
into the design, the connection (no pun intended) was a bit tenuous, since it was origianlly
designed to be a street beast, not a glorified cel phone on wheels. Unfortunately I didn't win
that one. I still consider it a personal victory to have gotten it ready in time at all,
since this was probably the most technically challenging design project I'd taken on to date.
